I'm Writing the Next Chapter? | EmpowerMoments

Everyone has a story to tell and I am no different. However, I am going to write the next chapter of my story. People often let others and circumstances determine the next chapter of their life, when all along they have the final say so. I often look at people who are hurting and ask myself, why don?t they just change? Why do they keep putting themselves in predicaments that always end badly? It?s because they haven?t realized that they have control of the next chapter.

Someone very close to me keeps getting ?into reckless, dangerous predicaments and then they ask God why they can?t catch a break? Why can?t they get ahead? Why can?t they be happy? Why can?t they have the desires of their heart? I figured it out, because they are letting other people and circumstances determine where they are going.

It has been 7 years since I became a minister and I tell you, so many people and circumstances have tried to write me off and write my story the way they wanted it to be told. I remember coming into the ministry being pregnant and you would have thought I had the plague the way people were standing back and waiting for me to fail. I can remember being depressed and isolated and people were trying to steal my book and write me off. People begin to spread lies and say I was going to go back to my old ways. However, in the story that I am writing, I will not go back to my old ways.

There is a chapter of my life being written right now with my weight, my marriage, being a mother, my career and being a home owner. This chapter is looking bright and I am going to write the ending before anyone else gets their hands on it. I am speaking success over my weight loss, my marriage, motherhood and my career. I believe the Word that, ?No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.? (Isaiah 54:17 KJV)I believe that my husband will be saved and that he is transforming into who God wants him to be, not who people says he is. I am speaking life into me as a wife and a helpmate.I am speaking life over my weight that it will continue to fall off in a healthy manner and I will be a success story for many. I am speaking life over being an example to my child and loving her with an agape love. I am speaking life into my career. I believe that I have been faithful over a few things. ?The master said, ?Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let?s celebrate together!?? (Matthew 25:23 NLT) I believe that God is pushing me into home ownership. I have learned that sometimes God has to make you uncomfortable so that you can move out of your comfort zone. He is beginning to make me so uneasy about paying rent that I know that there is about to be a shift in the atmosphere.

God has allowed me the opportunity to write my vision. And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. (Habakkuk 2:2 AMP) I have radical faith and I believe that God can do exceedingly and abundantly all things. I believe that this new chapter is going to change my life. Thank You, God, for being the author and finisher of my faith.

Dear Daddy,

Thank You for letting me write the next chapter of my story as it aligns with Your will. I am thankful? that although people have counted me out and circumstances have almost taken me out, You have given me the strength to stand. Thank You for having the final say in my story. God continue to move me forward in my story. In Jesus? Name, Amen!

Ladies, I EMPOWER you to write the next chapter of your story. I am not asking you to create New Year?s resolutions because they are made to be broken. I am asking you to ask God to lead and guide you in your visions and start making preparation for the next level. Do not continue to let people or circumstances determine the next chapter in your story. Let the saying you are what you eat, remind you that you are what you speak!

Take a moment and tell us about the next chapter of your story.
