Budding Beckhams are being given the chance to pull on their boots and show off their skills at free football and fitness coaching sessions in Hackney.
Sanctuary Housing has teamed up with Leyton Orient Football Club?s Community Sports Programme (LOCSP) to bring fun football workshops to Mabley Green during October half-term.
Open to local youngsters, male and female, from eight up to 15 years, the training sessions start on Monday 29 October and run every day from 2 - 3.30pm. The workshops will culminate with a head-to-head, five-a-side football competition on Friday 2 November.
As well as getting the opportunity to learn footie skills from professional coaches, the week-long programme will also lead a certificate of achievement for those taking part.
Simon Clark, managing director of Sanctuary Housing Services said: ?This year?s Olympics have really motivated people to get involved in sport and we are delighted that our partnership with Leyton Orient is able to bring sporting activities closer to the heart of our communities.
?These training sessions are both enjoyable and healthy so why not take advantage and come along next week to join in the footie fun.?
