'America's Most Wanted' fugitive captured in E. Texas

ANDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV)-

A manhunt that started in Wichita Falls and caught the attention of America's Most Wanted has ended right here in East Texas.

Brian Fuller was featured on the show America's Most Wanted because he was wanted on a robbery charge out of Wichita Falls.

But a tip from the show led federal authorities to County Road 3194, just south of Frankston in Anderson county, where Fuller was caught.

The surveillance video is the last authorities had seen of Brian Maurice Fuller. This was in 2010, outside of a Whole Foods store in Dallas.

In the video, you see Fuller pull up in a white Jaguar, and a few minutes later, a woman who was a customer at the store is attacked.

Fuller was arrested in connection with that case, but Dallas Police released him. Author ties say due to a court mix up, fuller's bond was set for 50,000 instead of 500,000.

A warrant for his arrest was re-issued, but Fuller had already gone into hiding.

That was until Sunday.

"Our CID agents developed information, they utilized investigative techniques to develop that information a bit further, and found this fugitive living in the Frankston area," said DPS Public Information Officer, Jean Dark.

Fuller was featured on America's Most Wanted. People in Frankston knew his face, but he was living under the name Michael Scott Fuller. Still, the tips came in.

He was arrested by U.S. Marshals at a home on County Road 319. DPS troopers and Anderson County Sheriff's Deputies were also on hand.

We spoke to Maurice's father.? He's from Wichita Falls, but is in East Texas now after learning of his son's arrest. He knew Maurice was hiding from authorities, but didn't know where.

"I don't have no apologies, but I believe that what went down was supposed to go down just like it went."? "If you don't really know him, you're not gonna understand," said Billy Fuller, Maurice's father.

Now East Texans know, they didn't really know him after all.

U.S. Marshals believe Fuller has been living in East Texas for about two years.?

Right now, Fuller remains at the Anderson County jail, but we're told he could be extradited to Dallas within the next ten days. He's tied to a string of robberies there, and is wanted for parole violation, and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
